The Orange County Ronald McDonald House (OCRMH) is a program of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California, a California nonprofit corporation that is classified by the IRS as exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3) and as a public charity under IRC Section 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). Therefore, donations from individuals and corporations, as well as grants from private foundations, qualify for maximum tax benefits allowable under 170 of the Code.The following discussion of gifting techniques is general in nature. Donors should seek the advice of a professional tax advisor. The Planned Giving department of OCRMH will be happy to assist donors and advisors in structuring their gifts.
